Portland- 7th Anniversary/ 26th Bday

We've been to Portland a couple times this past month. The first trip was for our SEVENTH anniversary! It was our FIRST trip by ourselves.... NO kids, no other family... JUST US!! It was really fun! My parents flew up and watched the kids for the weekend. They were so awesome! Dan and I drove to Portland Friday and ate dinner at The Portland City Grill which is on the 30Th floor of this huge building. We had a view right by the window. Wonderful food. Saturday we had massages then went to the temple. That night we ate at Blue Hour. Delicious. Sunday we walked around the mall and downtown. We saw the movie Up in the Air. It is horrible. Don't see it. We left thinking: That movie was nominated for all these awards?!! Too much profanity, everything was depressing and the end felt unresolved. Whatever. I don't trust Movie critics... ANYWAY Sunday night we ate at the MELTING POT!! Again, delicious. (And Danny thought it would be bad to cook our own food at a restaurant! HA!) Monday we were planning on going skiing at Mt.Hood on our way home, but our car window had been smashed in by some scary Portland homeless person the night before and it took too much time to clean up. Bummer! We drove home. It was a GREAT weekend minus the window mishap. Thanks to Mom and Dad! They had it all under control when we got home. They took us to Red Robin for my birthday. Yes, I'm now 26 years old. Officially in my late 20s. Yikes. May as well get myself a mini van! No offense to the mini van drivers. Seriously, we'll probably have to get one soon. :(
